Greenwich Pedestrianisation Meeting

As Jane mentioned last week, plans to pedestrianise part of Greenwich Town Centre were being discussed at the end of last year. I can't even begin to imagine where they'd start with this plan, but I can see it having benefits if it's done well (but where does all the traffic go?)

Do you want to see Greenwich pedestrianised? Have your say!
Luckily, Transition Westcombe have arranged a meeting (note, not tha council themselves) so there can be a bit more of a chat about what this might mean for residents and tourists. It's on July 20th, between 8pm and 10pm at St Alfege's Church.
This will be a great way to talk about the issue of traffic management (which is usually chaotic at best) and make Greenwich a safer place. Whether or not you agree pedestrianisation is the way to go, in such a built up area, discussing how the council can make the traffic safer in the area can only be a good thing.
