    Transport for London has issued contingency travel advice if tomorrow's (Friday's) bus strike goes ahead. TfL is calling on the leadership of the Unite union to call off tomorrow's industrial action, but is warning Londoners that if the strike does go ahead bus services could be severely disrupted.     Apparently there are plans to reinstate the off peak services at Bankside Pier in the spring. Currently there are so sailings to the pier by Shakespeare Globe before 10am and after 5pm, and there hasn't been since 2007.     It always feels a little bit James Bond, doesn't it?
    I've just read that the Thames Clipper service is going to be cut in the evening. According to the News Shopper, from November 1st: "The last service from Royal Arsenal Woolwich is currently 11pm but will now leave at 8.15pm. From the O2 people will have to leave almost three hours early to catch the 8.25pm boat, which currently leaves at 11.10pm. Later boats will be provided from the O2 when events are taking place"...
