Greenwich University Could Create a 'Living' Living Space

Now, this is going to get complicated (science is not my forte), but it
-
Greenwich University doing fabulous things for the environment. Again.
seems that the University of Greenwich have made the news again. This
time for their School of Architecture & Construction. According to Softpedia, they could
create a living house, effectively covering houses with eco-friendly
materials to fight climate change. The materials would effectively
protect the buildings with a 'coral like skin'. Basically, this would
then be used to create carbon neutral building materials and make the
whole of building process much better for the environment.
I'm not entirely sure about how University of Greenwich have gone about
this, but I do like that they're working on more eco-friendly stuff. And
it's pretty ground-breaking too. Even if I'm not sure that I'll
understand the science completely, it all sounds very smart, doesn't it?
I just wonder how long it will be before the use of synthetic biology
is put into practice.
