Wish I loved it!

Everyone else loves this place. Really loves it. And I think I would prefer it if I'd eaten here (you can poke your nose into the kitchen while you're at the bar). Maybe that's the problem. While the beer is good and I'm sure the food is fab, the vibe of the place just doesn't do it for me. The bar always feels like a restaurant waiting room. I don't like the layout. I don't like that wherever I'm standing I feel like I'm in the way, but there's not enough tables for anyone to get comfy. Outside would be better, but you can't see much of the river, and it's not a particularly nice patio area. I love Meantime beer. I really want to love it here (and I'd jump at the chance to have some grub one afternoon), but I always find myself drinking eleswhere. Usually the Greenwich Union up the road.
