On Feburary 19th, the South East London Affordable Homes Show hits Greenwich, and you'll be able to visit at the Queen Mary building at the Old Royal Naval College between 11 and 4pm. (If I remember rightly from my Uni days, that's one of the ones nearest the entrance by the Trafalgar Pub).

House buying is much more complicated than Monopoly. Shame.
You'll be able to find out about local housing schemes, as well as renting to buy, and what to do if you're a new house buyer. Basically really good information if you're wanting to get on the property ladder but you've got an income under £60,000.
What House says this: "Would-be home buyers who qualify and earn between £14,000 and £60,000
will be offered the opportunity to potentially secure an affordable home
at this year's Housing Options Show, with various deals on offer,
including a selection of part buy, part rent, shared housing
initiatives, with a minimum share typically starting from 25 per cent."
It's a really good opportunity to find out what options you've got open to you. Even if you think you can't afford your first home, the show will help you find a practical option.
