Burt and Betty

Burt and Betty is tucked away in a little corner of Greenwich, so much so that you can't even see it from the street (hint, walk down the little row of shops on Greenwich South Street and you'll spot it). It's a curious little mix of hardward shop and pretty interiors.

I've been coveting this since Saturday
I don't actually think the mix works particularly well. That's not to say that I don't love the shop. The interiors and kitchenware stuff is beautiful (and I have my eye on the Cornishware range). There's a quirky mix of cute baking and kitchen utensils, as well as baking stuff. And actually, it's all stuff that I'd use. I don't need a mug that has a Fab ice lolly on it, but it didn't stop me wanting one.
But I don't need paintbrushes. And while I might at some point, there's a B&Q down the road and I'd go there instead. The hardware stuff isn't cheap because it's such a small selection, and I'd much rather that part of the shop was used for added prettiness.
But as a massive baking and cooking addict (as well as a lover of pretty things), I can see me spending lots of time in here. Coveting Cornish Blue kitchenware that I can't afford.
Burt and Betty is on Greenwich South Street. Pop in, but don't you dare buy that pestle and mortar before me.
