Where do you get your fish and chips?

It's National Chip Shop week at the moment (I've only just found this out, I'm totally having chips for tea). But the topic of where to get your chips from in Greenwich is a sore point for me. Because all the good places keep CLOSING DOWN. And I don't know where I should go now.

The Greenwich Union is (often) the obvious choice. The fish and chips is one of their most populat dishes. It's one of the cheapest too.

Rivington's chips are tasty, and they'll give you a takeaway box of fish and chips at lunch time. Only a tenner too. Nice touch.

The Yacht promise beer battered fish (and they're very proud of it too), but I've had better.

Anyone been to the Beachcomber? Would love to know your thoughts.

The new kid on the block is the Great British Fish & Chip Shop. I haven't been, Greenwich Phantom has and wasn't entirely blown away, draw your own conclusions. She does have good things to say about the Golden Chippy though.

Not a massive fan of Peter's right next to me (although their greasy spoon next door is fantastic), my dinner tonight is coming from Mr. Fast Fry, I'll let you know how it tomorrow. Where are you getting your chips?
