World Book Day in Greenwich

World Book Day is making waves all over the place today, and Greenwich is no exception. Whether you've taken your kid to school dressed as their favourite book character (I've heard stories of Buzz Lightyear costumes, which I think misses the point a tad), or you just want to pick up a couple of new books for your commute into town, here are some ideas from around the Greenwich People website:

Want to help save our local libraries?

Or have a nose in our wonderful (and plentiful) indy bookshops?

Our Waterstone's isn't bad either.

Waterstone's actually has some fun events on today with quizzes and treasure hunts. Generally aimed at the kids, which is a shame if you're a bit of a bookworm yourself. But, anything that gets people reading it OK by me.

What are you reading at the moment? And perhaps more importantly, where's your favourite place in Greenwich to pick up books for your shelf?
