In this exhibition Terry scales has stepped aside from his much loved subjects on the Thames to pay homage to the world of music. The relationship between artists and composers is a long and established one. Most notably the influence of Claude's masterpiece, 'The Enchanted Castle' on Debussy's 'La Mer' and other pieces come to mind.
"My portraits of musicians were inspired by the brilliant performances and dedication of the Trinity Laban students in concert at St Alfege Church, Greenwich and the Blackheath Concert Halls. Taken from on-the-spot sketches, I hope they capture the vibrancy of the moment rather than photographic detail".
