Battered Bowlers

In October 2011 an everyday repair turned into a mystery when a number of seemingly unrelated 19th century artefacts – including bowler hats and sports shoes – were discovered beneath a staircase in the King William Courtyard at the Old Royal Naval College. We've had some of the star finds conserved, so come along to see what we found and make up your own theory as to just why these objects came to be hidden for so long. Free event.
