Should the drink drive limit be lowered?

There's been talk recently about ministers reducing the drink drive limit by almost half. So instead of being OK to drive after 80mg, you'll have to stop your booze intake at 50mg.

Do you think the drink driving limit should be lowered?
Now, I don't drive. And I don't think I would ever drive afer I'd had a couple. But, people do. In Gravesend in January, two were killed and a woman left in a coma because of a drunk driver. That guy had been drinking all day, so it's unlikely that a lower legal limit would have stopped him, but if the punishments are harsher, and the limits lower, it certainly might deter people.
I don't think drunk driving is the main issue Greenwich has with its transport accidents (that prize goes to making the roads safer for cyclists), but does that mean that lowering the ban would be such a bad thing?
I'm staying on the fence (as a non-driver I think it's the only place I can be), but anything that reduces the number of accidents in Greenwich can only be a good thing, right?
What do you think? Should the limit be lowered? Is drink driving your biggest issue in Greenwich?
