This place has recently extended by buying the old bookies next door and creating a basement floor below. £5.50 for the veggie breakfast - the sausages were AWFUL, very vinigary, full of potato and probably bought for something like 8p per sausage. This was a massive disappointment for me as the sausages are usually the highlight of my fried brekkie (on the rare occasion I have it). The beans were cheap beans (not Heinz) which I dont usually mind but because of the lack of quality of the entire meal, I wasn't at all surprised. The fried egg was ok but the mushrooms completely lacked flavour. My boyfriend had sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding, beans (£4.50 + £1 for black pudding). His meal was well cooked but the biggest gripe for both of us is the quality of produce which clearly came out in the taste for the both of us. Their ketchup was almost a luminous red and if you like your brown sauce, dont try theirs! It has a very, very stong flavour of cloves! The 'freshly squeezed orange juice' was almost white in colour with just a hint of orange colour (?!). My boyfriend liked the tea, and the coffee was ok (standard cafe-type coffee). I would expect to get the meal at a roadside cafe or even an 'Iceland Forezen All Day Breakfast Special" for a bargain price of £1.50 (if ever their was one) and I certainly will not be going back to this place. I always look forward to new places to eat in Greenwich at the weekend (Babas only used to be open during the week) and unfortunately for Babas, the quality of their food is terrible which I'm guessing wont bring back too many regulars (probably why it's always pretty empty at the weekends). Babas are clearly all about makng profit rather than making a good name for themselves. I reckon it will just be the tourists and during the week workmen that will keep this place going. Dont waste your money here - go to Royal Teas instead! (I'm only giving the place a rating of 1 as it wont allow me to give a zero rating)
