For the first time in more than 20 years, the Thames will play host to a
stunning fleet of Tall Ships as part of Sail Royal Greenwich, taking in many
famous highlights of London and offering a daily spectacle during the Olympics.
On July 25, a flotilla of 14 tall ships, accompanied by up to 200
smaller vessels, sailed in convoy from Tilbury to the Royal Borough of
Greenwich.
Until August 12, two-hour cruises
will run five times daily, including a sunset cruise. Passengers will pass The
O2, Canary Wharf, the Old Royal Naval College, the Queen's House and the Royal
Observatory, go through the Thames Barrier and cross the Meridian Line.
Tickets for Sail Royal Greenwich cost from £59 for adults and £39 for
children for a standard two-hour cruise.
VIP and corporate hospitality packages are also available, with
exclusive hire of a tall ship available for 12 to 135 guests from £219 per
person.
