Royal Greenwich was proud to be the first London borough to welcome the Olympic Torch on 21 July 2012 when we launched its journey through the capital from the Prime Meridian Line in Greenwich.

Starting in Greenwich Park at 7.20am, Torchbearers carried the Torch through Greenwich Park, Greenwich Town Centre, East Greenwich and Eltham Town Centre before ending the route in Woolwich Town Centre at 9.50am. See the table below for approximate timings of when the Relay passed your local street.

The Royal Borough did not implement any road closures, however the Torch convoy police operated a rolling road closure of around 10-15 minutes as the Torch Relay passed along each street.
